2023
GT World Challenge Europe

Take a look at our 2023 season in numbers, from racing in new venues across Europe to our fastest lap and much more.

Countries raced – five (Italy, France, Belgium, Germany, Spain)

The team raced across five nations in 2023, contesting events in Western and Central Europe, completing the season with back-to-back rounds in Spain.

New circuits visited – five (Monza, Misano, Nurburgring, Hockenheim, Valencia)

Of the circuits raced in 2023, five are new to Theeba Motorsport. After not being able to make the International GT Open race last year, Theeba finally was able to race at Monza, while Misano, Hockenheim, Valencia and the legendary Nurburgring were also new venues for the team.

Races started – 11

In our first season in Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe, we started in 11 races all against some fierce competition.

Best finish – 2nd (Valencia Race 2)

The team fared stronger in the one-hour Sprint Cup races in the GTWCE. The final race of that part of our season was the team’s highlight – with an epic last-lap charge to second.

Kilometres raced – 4340.228km

Despite early exits from the two longest races of the year, the team has still completed over four thousand kilometres. That’s longer than the distance it would take to drive to every venue we visited this year in a huge European road trip.

Pitstops made – 24

The team has completed 24 race pitstops this season, and plenty more in practice!

Fastest lap (avg. speed) – 191.144kph (Monza)

Our fastest lap of the year in a race came, somewhat naturally, at the ‘Temple of Speed’ – the fastest circuit on the calendar.

Best team Bronze Cup position – 6th

In a season with many battles and with a lot of learning under our belt in our first season in GTWCE, we achieved our best position of sixth in the Sprint Cup, and a top-10 finish in the overall championship.

Number of drivers – 5 (Reema Juffali, Ralf Aron, Alain Valente, Yannick Mettler, Fabian Schiller)

Four new faces have joined the Theeba Motorsport family in 2023, with our driver roster featuring a wide range of talents of experience across their respective careers.

Biggest field raced in – 70 cars (Spa 24H)

The GTWCE comprises many of the very best teams in sportscar racing, and Theeba has gone door-to-door with plenty of them in the races that took place in 2023. The Spa 24 Hours was made up of a field of a staggering 70 cars around the 7.004-kilometre circuit.
