The team was able to keep strong pace during the three-hour race around the Rhineland venue. Conditions were variable throughout the weekend but the race held mostly in sunny weather.
The range of conditions throughout pre-event testing, Free Practice and Pre-Qualifying allowed the team to get acclimatised with the circuit in the different weather scenarios.
Conditions were very challenging throughout the Qualifying session, which featured a lengthy delay in the first segment due to the level of rain and a couple of incidents.
Consistently good laps from Alain Valente in Q1, and then Reema Juffali and Ralf Aron in Q2 and Q3 respectively when the track began to dry up, gave the #81 Mercedes-AMG GT3 seventh in-class on the grid for the three-hour race.
Reema took the start for the first stint and battled well in the opening hour. The start featured incidents throughout the field, but Reema was able to keep out of trouble, and kept with the #31 Team WRT entry until the pitstop window.
She handed over to Alain in seventh place, and the battle with the #31 resumed once the cycle had taken place. Alain was unable to get by the BMW on the road, but a great pitstop by the team meant that once Ralf had taken over and the final stops had taken place, the #81 had worked its way past into sixth in class.
Ralf remained in a battle with the #31 and was able to keep the gap of around a second towards the end of the race. Unfortunately in the last few laps, car #31 made contact and caused Ralf to spin, causing him to lose position to the Team WRT entry and ending the race in seventh.

“Today's race showed some great progress from the team. We've had a pretty consistent weekend and the crew have worked hard to get us to this place. With the summer break coming up now, we will reflect on the season so far and come back fresh for Hockenheim in September.”
Ralf Aron, Driver, Theeba Motorsport
“Reema did a great job at the start. There were a few incidents on the opening lap, but she managed to stay out of trouble. Unfortunately, both her and Alain got stuck in traffic, but we tried the undercut and ultimately gained a position in-class on when I took the wheel. I had a bit of contact at the end which pushed us down to seventh, but overall I’m feeling positive after this weekend.”
Alain Valente, Driver, Theeba Motorsport
“We were stuck in traffic for the majority of the race, and it’s difficult to pass here at the Nürburgring. We finished the race, but we were hoping for more.”
